I will stand up for the localizers on this one, finding a different foreign word that means roughly the same as "unchained" is a better choice than just calling it unchained in plain english.

localization is trying to preserve the vibe of exotic terminology a jp or kr person would feel reading english, it’s not about being 1 to 1 translation
