2:01:29History is like an onion. You have to peel back the layers
2:01:29History, at the end of the day, is lore. And people love lore.
2:01:30isnt it amazing the good guys won every time?
2:01:32it's like solving a mystery from clues
2:01:34history should be viewed as a collection of events, not a linear timeline
2:01:38Part of the fun is the research, that is what got me into archeology
2:01:39that;s what historiography is about
2:01:42it is. but you can contrast it with more first hand sources
2:01:43And we all know Pippa is most interested in math
2:01:44I mean a large portion of math is theory too
2:01:44You can make educated guesses
2:01:44Says the dinosaur lover :_pippaSmug:
2:01:47History written by only the victors .
2:01:47I think I kind of get what Pippa is saying
2:01:49learning why people lie the way they do is very useful
2:01:50that it could be fabricated is a whole aspect itself of it
2:01:51thats part of it, trying to decipher the truth from the lie
2:01:51the search of the truth is the fun part
2:01:51nothing is absolutely true you know, its just what you believe in
