i talked about that with my parents once, we agreed that if we ever went back to having 2 family cars we would have a EV for city driving and a hybrid for longer journeys

I use PHEV and it's very nice, most short drives are purely electric and for long drives I just use gasoline like any other car. It's cheap and practical other than the fact you have to recharge often
