The Large cogwheel is used to spin the smaller one, which in turn speeds up the smaller cogwheels rotations allowing you to use the mixer.

I believe the cogs are correct... if not I don't think it would rotate... in all of them I'm seeing they have where to "pour" the content... so maybe the extra basin is needed idk:_ZannyDizzy:
