The last act felt like it needed some way to tie in. I get it was "hey here's how far a normal joe would get through something the MCs get through" but just kinda fell flat

It did feel kind of unsatisfying in the end, it wasn't -bad- but your comment about feeling blue balled is 100% right. I couldn't place it at the time but the ending is so "AND THEN?!"
