You could fully recover from that though. You can begin sword specials from breakable blocks just fine, so you could've jumped to the next one

When using the sword special, peeba will swing the sword left or right (follows mouse) until it hits where the preview shows. The red arrow is the direction of the launch, you don't need to hold there

What I meant is that if you hold your sword up, you don't need to then remember to move it up after launching

yeah, jumping before using the special will change the angle because it will change where the sword hits when it swings. You jump and hold jump AFTER pressing the special button (freeze frame helps)
