I think the 40k Total War will have problems, mostly stemming from the fact that every unit will have a gun and infinite ammo

getting the 3 core games is really the most value anyway, DLC lords generally offer a more focused campaign experience

@ravenkana3059 in those roster overlapped too much, and less distinctive factions, at least in Shogun2 there were more "roles" and people still liked Shogun2. I still think wh40k will not be that bad

Shogun 2 is easily the most polished Total War game and I think that, plus the very strong aesthetics, carries fairly lackluster gameplay
