in my opinion, the darkness itself isn't the problem, but when the game is pitch dark outside. It makes me think that the devs have never gone outside at night. The stars and the moon are there, yk

@rocvan8190 there's a horror game dev that made a realistic dark forest environment. You can see stuff clear-ish in grayscale in the middle of your screen, but things are super blurry on the sides

only pitch black areas are inside buildings or caves. Anything else and our eyes will adapt to see well enough
